Minutes of the meeting

Project Brahma/Biodiversity of India

• Project Brahma was decided as the name of the umbrella organization. BOI will be a website under it. That would prevent hassles with migrating Facebook and Twitter at the same time, keep us from missing the name Project Brahma. PB domain needs to be developed in the future as a landing page/blog.
• Google has started downgrading PB as expected. BOI is getting more prominence now.
• Adwords now active on BOI.

Traffic to the website

• Analytics shows traffic on BOI increasing to over 70 pageviews a day not counting any visits from East Lansing/Lansing. PB had around the same traffic. BOI has started receiving that traffic in just a couple of weeks.
• "Good visitors" tend to be people coming from refereed sites
• Send email to YETI/universities where our friends are/other groups to publicize.

Referencing data

• Proper permissions needed from sources before putting data online. Generally, we have been pretty good at doing that.

WGP panel discussion

• Talk to ENVIS people
• No harm mentioning details of our internal workings to the group. Sharing of information is always better.
